In Episode #75 on The Jen Mavros Show we gather with Harvard-trained scholar of the divine feminine, Meggan Watterson.

During our conversation, Meggan unfolds Radical Love and the Divine Feminine. She offers an invitation for us to reclaim our power.

"There have always been just as many holy ladies as men. We simply haven’t lived in a time that holds the feminine and the female as sacred as the masculine and male. But gratefully, the time has arrived.

It’s important to recognize that there isn’t a hierarchy in the spiritual world. Existence cannot be ranked on a vertical line or stacked in order of importance. Existence is a continuum that resides on a horizontal axis where each being is as significant as the next. Love is the force that renders us all equal. The power and importance of the universe exists right here within each of us—just waiting to be remembered."

Meggan Watterson is the author of REVEAL: A Sacred Manual For Getting Spiritually Naked & co-author of How To Love Yourself (And Sometimes Other People): Spiritual Advice For Modern Relationships. She leads workshops and retreats on the divine feminine & the soul-voice meditation. She has a Masters of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School and a Masters of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary.

EP #17 Lisa Lister

Creating A "Bloody" Brilliant Life. Period.

Episode #17

In Episode #17 on The Jen Mavros Show, we are joined by Hay House author, menstrual maven, plus-size yoga teacher + spiritual guide-ess, the amazing Lisa Lister.

WOW my friends, this episode was so eye-opening and expansive for me as Lisa and I unpack the delicacies of what it REALLY means to bleed and menstruate.

Lisa lovingly reframes how our menstruation cycle is meant to slow us down, to give us space to come into our bodies and pay attention because our womb is our oracle, it is where deep feminine wisdom is held.

"When you see the blood as a purification as opposed to something dirty and shameful, which is what we've been taught, it's a purification each and every month, it's an ego death. It's an opportunity for our ego to die and be reborn every single month which means we unfold so beautifully. We get to unfold and unravel another layer of ourselves, of our knowledge, of our self-knowledge, of our body-knowledge each month."

As if this wasn't juicy enough, she shares about her latest work of art, her book, Witch.

Personally, the word and meaning of witch holds such a "taboo, scary and a little creepy" overlay of energy. You see in the movies the women who chant and gather in circle to curse and create spells to hurt people. Lisa was raised into a gypsy lifestyle and therefore calls herself a witch, but with her gentle explanation, I was able to REALLY encapsulate the truest and most beautiful meaning of the word. And in her definition, I am a witch too. Wait, wha? The word still is a bit off-putting to me, but with her help, I was able to open to seeing this gorgeous perspective.

Crowned ‘the defender of female awesomeness’, Lisa is such a vibrant and loving soul really embracing these controversial topics with reverence and love to help shed light on them. She is here to stand and help women all around the world reclaim their SHE power and WITCH-ness.
