EP #75 Meggan Watterson

Radical Love & The Divine Feminine

Ep_75_Meggan_Watterson.jpg

In Episode #75 on The Jen Mavros Show we gather with Harvard-trained scholar of the divine feminine, Meggan Watterson.

During our conversation, Meggan unfolds Radical Love and the Divine Feminine. She offers an invitation for us to reclaim our power.

"There have always been just as many holy ladies as men. We simply haven’t lived in a time that holds the feminine and the female as sacred as the masculine and male. But gratefully, the time has arrived.

It’s important to recognize that there isn’t a hierarchy in the spiritual world. Existence cannot be ranked on a vertical line or stacked in order of importance. Existence is a continuum that resides on a horizontal axis where each being is as significant as the next. Love is the force that renders us all equal. The power and importance of the universe exists right here within each of us—just waiting to be remembered."

Meggan Watterson is the author of REVEAL: A Sacred Manual For Getting Spiritually Naked & co-author of How To Love Yourself (And Sometimes Other People): Spiritual Advice For Modern Relationships. She leads workshops and retreats on the divine feminine & the soul-voice meditation. She has a Masters of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School and a Masters of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary.

Episode #60

In Episode #60 on The Jen Mavros Show we sit down with literally one of my favorite conscious artists, EVER... thee AMAZING, DEYA DOVA.

For the first time ever on the show, we've created sacred space for a musician and artist to share and present their divine gifts. What a treat!

An artist of multi-dimensions, Deya writes, records and produces all of her intricate vocal work as well as designing her exquisite costuming and visionary album artwork. Joined with her husband, Hamilton Barnett we learn the behind the scenes of this magical duo.

Deya Dova fuses the earthy human-ness and sensual power of her voice with the cutting edge futurism of Global Bass music. Hailing from the expansive Nullarbor desert in Australia and currently based in the Byron Bay area she is one of the few female electronic producers and a ground breaking vocalist recording live at sacred sites.

Highly innovative and an evolutionary visionary artist in the truest sense, Deya Dova’s live shows are a sophisticated musical and visual feast. Performing with co producer, Hamilton Barnett, blending live electronics, organic percussion, vocal looping and guest ritual performance artists, Deya Dova weaves a conscious elevated dance floor experience infused with the sacred radiance of feminine power.

I wanted to get up and dance and when you hear Deya Dova, I'm sure you will too. ENJOY!!

Smashing through glass ceilings of human perception. Emerging out of the cave of questioning, “what is real?” Into the memory, the knowing & the wisdom of lifetimes of learning. Myth of the Cave is a concept album about consciousness. A collection of intimately woven stories, mythical Being statements for a new era.

DEYA DOVA takes future dreaming to the next level with the supernatural energy, frequency & vibration of her voice, splicing new myths into the space-time continuum. Earth & Sky meet in the awakening of her soaring angelic & banshee-esk vocals blending seamlessly with ancient tribal songlines. True to the DEYA DOVA signature sound, Myth of the Cave harmonizes the raw earthy power of the human voice with cutting edge Electronica. Intricate & layered Global Bass productions encrypted with symbology. Exotic textural landscapes featuring Egyptian Saz, Didgeridoo, Hung, Santoor, Burundi Drums, Totemic future Bass and a distinctly cinematic grandeur.

EP #11 - Nisha Moodley

Freedom-Focused Sisterhood

Episode #11

In Episode #11 on The Jen Mavros Show we are joined by the soulful and magical, Women's Leadership Coach, Nisha Moodley.

Inside the container of this sacred space with Nisha and I, Nisha takes us on an adventure through what freedom-focused sisterhood is and her latest journey into conscious motherhood. An episode any soulful woman will NOT want to miss.

We sometimes feel an impulse to isolate ourselves from the world.

"Human beings are communal creatures, we thrive in community. There's this myth of independence. I see a lot of really ambitious people often as being even more bought into the idea that we are individuals and fierce independents. I am not independent. We are dependent upon one another."

Relationships begin with "granting trust. Witnessing and seeing another person just as they are, it's about being willing to meet all of life with intimacy, curiosity, depth and a willingness to rise again regardless of what's thrown in our path."

Nisha says, "In 2009, when I heard the Dalai Lama say “The world will be saved by the western woman”, it occurred to me that the true change-makers would be those of us who were “being the change”, as Gandhi said – embodying the difference we wanted to make in the world.

After years of struggling with her own emotional eating, shopping addiction and workaholism, she's devoted her life to supporting other ambitious women in finding true freedom in their lives, so they can rise to the next level of leadership. My experience of coaching women on retreats and in groups has taught me that… The world will be set free by women who are free. Sisterhood is the key."
